Genevieve's Confession

Genevieve Nnaji Confesses: ‘I WANT GOD TO BLESS ME WITH THE RIGHT MAN AND A GOOD
One of the biggest and richest, a single mother of one (Lily), born on May 3, 1979 into the family of Benedatte and Theophilus Nnaji, hails from Umuebi – Amuzu in Aboh-Mbaise, Imo State. The fourth of her parents’ eight children, she attended Kemistar Nursery and Primary School, Surulere, Lagos; Methodist Girls High School, Lagos and Girls Secondary School, Akwakuma, Owerri, Imo State. Dazzling, sumptuous and sexy, she is unarguably and indisputably the reigning pride of Africa in the make-believe world.

What’s your greatest wish?
That God continues to bless me. Especially with the right man and a good family.

Where do you want to be in the next 10 years?
In the next 10 years, I know I will be married with kids. But I think it all depends on what God has fashioned out for me. I know I will still be in the entertainment industry or the fashion world or whatever.

ASSU strike

NANS Threatens ASUU, FG Over Endless Strike, Vows To Riot, Occupy Nigeria Until Schools Resume
Nigerian Students, has Vowed to go on Riot & Occupy Nigeria until ASUU Strike Ends…strike to begin in 7 days
Strike nearing two-month old now by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) two days ago issued a one-week ultimatum to the Federal Government and the union’s leadership to resolve their differences or face serious consequences.
The protest started off by the students who blocked the Asaba end of the River Niger Bridge to air their demands. The protest caused traffic snarl for several hours as the students stalled movements to the eastern part of the country even as those returning were barred.

Lamenting the effect of the strike, Obasi said students have become prone to accidents on the highways and the female students have been reduced to sex hawkers on the streets. From his statement, I stand to tell you that a lot of accidents have been recorded and 99.9% of the victims are Nigerian students. If they were in classrooms, they would not have fallen victims of road crashes”

It was believed that Beverly's x-rated scenes at the show may have made Afrocandy to extend the gesture to the reported ex-girlfriend of 2Shotz as stated in Afrocandy's post on Facebook.(visit her page Afrocandy)

Speaking on a radio show today (Wednesday), Beverly not only rejected Afrocandy's offer, but thanked her.

Syrian crisis: Latest developments

Western powers on Thursday were debating using military power against Syria's government to counter a chemical weapons attack in Damascus' suburbs last week.
On Wednesday, U.S. President Barack Obama said there's no doubt that Syria launched chemical weapons attacks against its own people. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime has blamed the August 21 attack on rebels.

-- The British government also published its legal reasoning for a strike on Syria Thursday, saying that it would be justified on humanitarian grounds.
-- "The use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime is a serious crime of international concern, as a breach of the customary international law prohibition on use of chemical weapons, and amounts to a war crime and a crime against humanity," the UK government's statement read. "However, the legal basis for military action would be humanitarian intervention; the aim is to relieve humanitarian suffering by deterring or disrupting the further use of chemical weapons."
-- Cameron told the House of Commons on Thursday that the UK government would not act without first hearing from U.N. weapons inspectors, giving the United Nations a chance to weigh in and Parliament to have a vote.

Why I sacked youth minister - Jonathan

The president claimed it was based on the minister’s  mishandling of the National Youth Council of Nigeria’s elections in Makurdi and Minna which resulted in the factionalisation of the council.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the President said he was “very displeased” by the former minister’s action. “President Jonathan is sincerely committed to doing everything possible to ensure that the Nigerian youth, on whom the country’s aspirations for a bright and prosperous future depend, are given the best possible upbringing and orientation.”

Crisis over location in osun state Nigeria.

Ede, Osun in a fresh crisis over location of factory
The youths from Ede had staged a peaceful protest at the venue of the inauguration of the factory, demanding that the place, popularly called Abere, Osogbo, should henceforth be called Abere, Ede.
The controversy is over the ownership of the area, where the Omoluwabi Garment Factory, inaugurated by Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Monday, is located.
But Aregbesola, in his speech, said there would be no erection of any signpost of “Welcome to Ede” because it was unnecessary. He therefore advised the monarch against instructing his subjects to cause violence, saying every leader should promote peace and harmony
The governor said, “Your statement is simply tendentious and inciting. Nobody can challenge your authority. Don’t let us promote antagonism. We are the same people with same language and culture. We must not allow anything to disunite us”.
“If whatever I have said annoyed you (kabiyesi), please forgive me. But my concern is for the development of the state, and we are passionate about this.”
Following the comments of the Timi of Edeland, youths from Osogbo, under the aegis of Coalition of Osogbo Youth Organisation, denied the claim of the Ede people, saying the land on which the factory was built belonged to Osogbo.
The leader of the youths, Mr. Waheed Adediran, said  land dispute started between Osogbo and Ede in 1879 and the dispute was settled by the then Baale of Ibadan, after which trees were planted to demarcate the boundary between the two towns.

Martino wraps Neymar in cotton wool
Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino said he will not rush Brazilian star Neymar into the grind of starting regularly for the Spanish giants.
Spanish media have urged Martino to select the 21-year-old for Wednesday’s Super Cup final second leg against Atletico Madrid.
“My obligation is to take care of all the players and especially Neymar because he is young and even if he has a lot of success he is still young.
“My hope is that he can play for Barcelona for 10 or 12 years, rather than that he solves my problems in one match, so this situation goes beyond any one coach.
“The only thing I think I want is the best for the player and I think the way we are acting is positive for him, we are not damaging him.”

Wayne Rooney set to be offered new Man United deal after rejecting Chelsea
Wayne Rooney may have been forced to stay at Manchester United this summer, despite apparently wishing to join up with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, but the England striker can console himself with a new deal at Old Trafford. After bagging two assists at Swansea in a substitute appearance and with a committed display against Chelsea earlier this week, Rooney is understood to have shown plenty of desire under new Manchester United boss David Moyes.
Despite the urgings of Jose Mourinho, Rooney will not be handing in a transfer request, according to various sources, and looks set for a lengthy stay at Old Trafford.
There are however no guarantees that Rooney will agree to a new deal at Manchester United.
Ian Ladyman writes in the Daily Mail: “Certainly United will not offer Rooney the same £250,000-a-week salary he has earned for the last three years. Any offer will be incentivised and will depend heavily on performances and appearances. Rooney may, therefore, decided to sit it out on his current deal and try to get himself a move somewhere next summer. A move to Chelsea may not be an option in a year’s time, however, as Mourinho will have bought an alternative by then.”

Chelsea are set to beat Inter Milan in the race to sign Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto’o. Eto’o has become an alternative target for the West London side after it became clear that Manchester United would not be willing to do a deal for Wayne Rooney this summer.
