FACEBOOK TO BUY WHATSAPP MESSAGING NETWORK
Facebook, the world's biggest social networking company says it is buying the mobile messaging service WhatsApp in a deal worth $16bn.
The WhatsApp deal is roughly nine percent of Facebook's market value which is bigger than any acquisition made by either Google, Apple or Microsoft.
Google's biggest deal was the Motorola Mobility, at $12.5bn, while Microsoft's was Skype-wchich gave room for users to make both voice and video calls over the internet at $8.5bn. But in Apple's case, it has not done a deal above $1bn.

"The goal of Project Tango is to give mobile devises a human-scale understanding of space and motion". Earlier this year, the firm said it is working on a "smart contact lens" that can help measure glucose levels in tears.
The device sensor allow it to make over 250,000 3D measurementsevery second and update its position in real-time.

CLASH IN THE HOUSE OVER CBN GOVERNOR'S SUSPENSION
Debate on the suspension of the CBN Governor started when the Minority whip of the house, Samson Osagie (APC-Edo), raised a point on the issue. According to him, the CBN Act of 2007 as amended does not in anyway, empower the President or anybody to suspend the CBN GGovernor, but only to remove him subject to the approval of two-third majority of the Senate. The legislator said the allegation of Financial rrecklessness reported against him by the Accounting Standards Board did not indicate if he was given fair hearing.
But some other PDP members in the house said the action by the President was right. "Sanusi, without leaving a stone untouched is the sole witness in anyway on the matter of alleged mismanagement of Nigeria's oil prprocess to the tune of $49.8bn within the last two years, which made his suspension very uncomfortable to Nigerians and her strategic foreign partners at thus time", Senator Babajide Omoworare (APC Osun East) said.

This is because he will be giving out three of his daughters in marriage next month, and will also be celebrating his 57th birthday the same week with his daughters Nikhai ceremonies. The Nikhai will take place at his newly built mansion in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. The celebration starts with his own birthday on Monday, March 3, 2014, and on the 4th of March, the following day; one of his daughters Hidayat will have her Nikhai ceremony. Aminat, another of his daughters will also have hers on the 6th of March Thursday, while Sekinat will have hers on the 9th of MarcMarch Sunday, all in the same week. Wishing him a happy celebration.

GOVERNOR OF CBN ON SUSPENSION
President Jonathan has ordered the immediate suspension of Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi from the office of Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. He also ordered that the suspended Governor hand over to the most senior Deputy Governor of the Country's Apex Bank, Dr. Sarah Slade who will serve as acting Governor. This was due to haven taken special notice of reports on Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and other investigating bodies, it therefore indicated clearly that the suspended Governor's tenure has been ccharacterized by various acts of financial recklesness and misconduct which do not conform with the vision of the Apex Bank propelled by the core values, transparency as well as financial discipline.
The Federal Government reassures all stakeholders that this decision was in utmost good faith and in the best interest of Nigeria's Economy.
